Your phone number is yours to keep, even when you change wireless service providers. Here are some things to think about when moving your current number to i wireless. Please read to the bottom of the page and then start the process!
DO NOT CANCEL YOUR CURRENT SERVICE!
Canceling service with your existing wireless provider will prevent your number from being moved to i wireless.
Make sure your phone number is eligible.
i wireless can accept only those numbers within our local coverage area. Your number must remain in the same geographic area where it is currently assigned. To see if you are within the local i wireless coverage area, click here.
Choose a calling plan.
We recommend visiting an i wireless retail location, or an authorized i wireless dealer near you so that trained sales representatives can suggest the plan that best fits your needs.
Choose a phone.
Due to the different technologies used by some other wireless carriers, it's unlikely that your current wireless handset will work on i wireless' GSM network. We recommend that you let an i wireless representative evaluate your current phone to determine compatibility. If your current handset is compatible, you have the option to use it. However, to enjoy the highest level of coverage, features, and services, i wireless recommends you get a new handset at the time you move your number to us.
